ANEMIA

An outpatient study for patients with CHF and anemia comparing a drug that stimulates red blood cell production to placebo.

PATIENT REQUIREMENTS

Male or female
Ages 18 or greater
Hemoglobin (a measure of red blood cells) 9-12
Ejection fraction < 35%

WITH SLIGHTLY DECREASED PUMPING FUNCTION

An outpatient study for patients with CHF comparing aldosterone to placebo in preventing further decrease in heart function and decreasing need for hospitalizations.

PATIENT REQUIREMENTS

Male or female
Ages 50 or greater
BP controlled
Ejection fraction > 45%
