PAROXYSMAL (INTERMITTENT) ATRIAL FIBRILLATION IN OLDER PATIENTS

An outpatient study of dronederone vs placebo in limiting episodes of atrial fibrillation in older patients with additional risk factors.

PATIENT REQUIREMENTS

Male or female
Ages 70 or greater
Documented episodes of sinus rhythm and episodes of atrial fibrillation in past 6 months
One of the following: hypertension, diabetes, previous stroke, or EF<40%

SYMPTOMATIC PAROXYSMAL (INTERMITTENT) ATRIAL FIBRILLATION

An outpatient study of a fish oil supplement vs placebo in decreasing the number of episodes of AFib.

PATIENT REQUIREMENTS

Male or female
Ages 18 or greater
Symptomatic intermittent atrial fibrillation with documented episode of atrial fibrillation and episode of sinus rhythm in past 3 months
