PAROXYSMAL (INTERMITTENT) ATRIAL FIBRILLATION IN OLDER PATIENTS
An outpatient study of dronederone vs placebo in limiting episodes of atrial fibrillation in older patients with additional risk factors.
PATIENT REQUIREMENTS
- Male or female
- Ages 70 or greater
- Documented episodes of sinus rhythm and episodes of atrial fibrillation in past 6 months
- One of the following: hypertension, diabetes, previous stroke, or EF<40%
SYMPTOMATIC PAROXYSMAL (INTERMITTENT) ATRIAL FIBRILLATION
An outpatient study of a fish oil supplement vs placebo in decreasing the number of episodes of AFib.
PATIENT REQUIREMENTS
- Male or female
- Ages 18 or greater
- Symptomatic intermittent atrial fibrillation with documented episode of atrial fibrillation and episode of sinus rhythm in past 3 months
